And that fact is the crux of all of this. The top players now only want to play another dozen events or so, in addition to the essential 4 Majors. They just don’t need the grind of 45 weeks’ travel and hotel rooms, for de facto second-tier events, where they are pressured by the hamster-wheel of winning ranking points.
